  • Like most specialty providers, we are out-of-network with insurance. There are several benefits to seeing an out-of-network therapist. Read more here.

  • Our practice is out-of-network with insurance. This means that clients are responsible for full payment of their set fee after each session.

Did you know that if your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement? Typically insurance companies that offer these benefits will reimburse you for 60-80% of costs. Depending on your benefits this could compare similarly to in-network costs.

You can check out the Benefits Calculator below on this page for a personalized estimate of what your costs would be with using your out-of-network benefits.

  • Sessions are currently $285 with our lead therapist and $225 with an associate therapist. The rate is subject to change annually or semi-annually if on a sliding scale and is also based on the duration of a session (i.e., EMDR session 45 versus 90 minutes.

  • Using out-of-network benefits doesn’t need to be difficult. We have partnered with Mentaya, a platform that will submit claims for you when using out-of-network benefits. They deal with your insurance company to help you receive reimbursement so you don’t have to. This service would be provided to you through the practice and is completely optional. Mentaya takes a small processing fee/percentage of each claim submitted.

With this option of using your out-of-network benefits, you would pay the full session fee, the practice would submit your claim to Mentaya, Mentaya would submit the claim to your insurance, and your insurance would reimburse you.

If there are any issues with the claim, Mentaya would address them for you.

To use this feature, click here. Additionally, we have a calculator at the bottom of the page to check your OON benefits.

If you prefer to submit claims directly to your insurance company yourself instead we are happy to provide you with Superbill receipts on a monthly basis for you to submit to insurance.

When using this option we recommend you contact your insurance company in advance to learn about their process for submissions and confirm your coverage.

  • We offer a Sliding Scale on a case by case basis, depending on your financial situation and therapist capacity. There is a Sliding Scale form that must be filled out and verified. Sliding Scales are meant to be temporary (6 months) and will be re-evaluated periodically.

  • Credit card is preferred. Payment is collected after each session.

  • You must cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance, otherwise you are responsible for your entire session fee. Consistency in therapy is important. If there are several missed sessions, we may no longer be able to hold a time slot for you. We encourage you to communicate with your therapist when it’s feeling tough to show up to sessions.

Good faith estimate

You have the right to a “good faith estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items or services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800)-985-3059.
