Meet Hannah, Founder and President of Hannah Tishman Psychotherapy:
Hannah takes a relational approach to therapy, building warmth, boundaries, and trust. Hannah believes in using humor and human connection to foster rapport and to navigate difficult experiences and feelings together. It is Hannah’s hope that together you can identify any barriers to inner-peace and make positive change occur in your life. Hannah often works with other therapists as well. She is trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - a therapy that can allow you to heal and distance yourself from traumatic memories or difficult symptoms, in turn relieving distress and PTSD. Hannah takes an eclectic trauma-informed approach, combining several modalities, including but not limited to mindfulness, somatic parts work/IFS, and EMDR.
Hannah earned a B.S. in Psychology and Family & Child Sciences from Florida State University and a M.S. in Social Work from Columbia University.
Relevant Advanced Clinical Training:
Attachment-Focused EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy - Parnell Institute
Integrative Somatic Parts Work Levels I, II, III - The Embody Lab
